Convert BECU CSV to QuickBooks (.QBO)
Works with BECU CSV and Excel exports Nothing uploaded
BECU (Boeing Employees' Credit Union, based in Tukwila, Washington) lets you download account activity from online banking, with CSV (spreadsheet) the most common format members reach for. BECU's accounting software integrations are limited, so a direct QuickBooks .qbo download is not part of the standard export, which leaves the CSV as the practical option for most members.
A CSV opens cleanly in Excel, but it is not a bank import. QuickBooks Online expects columns in a fixed order (Date, Description, Amount, or separate Debit and Credit), and QuickBooks Desktop does not read CSV at all. So the BECU export is fine for review but stalls when you try to bring it into QuickBooks directly.
QBO Maker converts a BECU CSV into a valid .QBO (Web Connect) file in your browser. It reads the date, description, and amount, builds a proper OFX file, and hands you something QuickBooks treats like a normal credit union download. The conversion is local, so your transactions are never uploaded. Convert your BECU CSV now.
.QBO QuickBooks accepts. For BECU, its dates are usually MM/DD/YYYY, and amounts arrive as a single signed column (debits negative, credits positive), both detected automatically.A typical BECU export has columns like Date, Description, Amount, Balance, Check Number and uses MM/DD/YYYY dates. QBO Maker auto-detects these, just confirm the mapping.
How to import BECU statements into QuickBooks
- Export your transactions from BECU online banking as CSV or Excel.
- Open the QBO Maker converter and drop the file in.
- Confirm the auto-detected date, amount (or separate debit/credit) and description columns.
- Choose .QBO as the output and click download.
- In QuickBooks Online: Transactions → Bank transactions → Upload from file, then select the .QBO. In Desktop: Banking → Bank Feeds → Import Web Connect File.
BECU-specific things to watch for
- No native QBO export. BECU's integrations with accounting software are limited, so there is usually no direct .qbo download. Export the CSV and convert it here for a Web Connect file QuickBooks accepts.
- Set the date range on screen. BECU exports the activity shown for the period you select. Confirm the range covers the full month before downloading.
- Signed amount column. BECU CSVs commonly use one Amount column with negatives for withdrawals. Map it as a single signed column so deposits and withdrawals keep the right direction.
- Balance column included. The export often carries a running balance. Leave it out of the amount mapping; QuickBooks does not use balance.
QuickBooks Online vs Desktop
QuickBooks Online: Transactions → Bank transactions → Upload from file → choose your .QBO. QuickBooks Desktop: Banking → Bank Feeds → Import Web Connect File. Desktop is stricter about the bank ID, BECU's routing number is often 325081403, which we prefill when you open the converter from this page.
Frequently asked questions
Does BECU export a QuickBooks QBO file?
Generally no. BECU's accounting software integrations are limited, so a native .qbo download is not part of the standard export. Download the CSV from online banking and convert it with QBO Maker to get a QuickBooks Web Connect file.
What does the BECU CSV look like?
BECU exports usually include Date, Description, a single signed Amount column, and a running Balance, with dates in MM/DD/YYYY. Withdrawals appear as negative amounts. QBO Maker reads this layout and builds the .QBO for you.
What is BECU's routing number?
BECU's routing number is 325081403, and it is the same for all members. On a converted file the routing number is only an identifier for QuickBooks, so it does not need to match your actual account to import.
Is my BECU data uploaded anywhere?
No. QBO Maker runs in your browser, so your BECU transactions stay on your own computer and the file is never sent to a server. See importing CSV into QuickBooks Online.
