What it converts

How the converter works

  1. Export your transactions from online banking as CSV or Excel (or a text PDF statement).
  2. Drop the file into the converter. It auto-detects your date, amount (or separate debit/credit) and description columns, and shows a live preview.
  3. Pick your output format and download. A built-in balance check confirms the totals match before you import.
  4. Import the file into QuickBooks, Quicken, Xero or your tool of choice.

Why convert instead of importing the raw CSV?

A raw CSV is just text, so your accounting software has to guess your column order, date format (DD/MM vs MM/DD) and how debits and credits are signed, the most common causes of failed or wrongly-dated imports. A .QBO/.QFX/.OFX file is structured financial data with unambiguous dates, signed amounts and a unique ID per transaction, so it imports cleanly and won't create duplicates on re-import. See QBO vs QFX vs OFX for which format your software wants.

Private by design

Unlike cloud converters, QBO Maker never uploads your statement. The entire conversion happens locally in your browser, so your financial data stays on your device. You can verify this in your browser's network tab, no requests carry your transactions.
